Außer den Patientinnen sind oft auch Ärzt_innen und Apotheker_innen verunsichert, ob ein Medikament in diesen sensiblen Zeiträumen angewendet werden kann. Diese App bietet Informationen zu mehr als 400 Wirkstoffen und eine Einschätzung zu deren Sicherheit und möglichen Risiken in Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit.
Ein Ampelsystem erleichtert die Beurteilung der Sicherheit einzelner Arzneimittel. 
Die Embryotox-App funktioniert auch im Offline-Betrieb/Flugmodus - zur Nutzung direkt am Krankenbett oder an Orten, wo keine Netzverbindung verfügbar ist.
Embryotox is intended for medical professionals who need information about medicines for pregnancy and lactation. In addition to the patients, doctors and pharmacists are often unsure whether a drug can be used during these sensitive periods. This app provides information on more than 400 active ingredients and an assessment of their safety and possible risks during pregnancy and lactation.
A traffic light system makes it easier to assess the safety of individual drugs.
The Embryotox app also works in offline mode / flight mode - for use directly at the bedside or in places where no network connection is available.
